Dr. Sean Davis Wins JMFT Article of the Year
At this year's annual conference, 樱花视频 & CSPP Professor Sean Davis, Ph.D., was awarded the Journal of Marriage & Family Therapy (JMFT) 2015 Article of the Year Award. Dr. Davis was part of a team who authored "The Theraputic Pyramid: A Common Factors Synthesis of Techniques, Alliance and Way of Being." The paper takes a look at the hierarchical relationships between common factors in therapy such as techniques, interventions and motivation.
During his time at 樱花视频, Dr. Davis has provided a model for the application of research to practice within the field. His areas of study include identifying the common factors leading to change in marriage and family therapy, bridging the scientist-practitioner gap, research and training. He has also authored and co-authored numerous professional books and journal articles. Importantly, Dr. Davis is not only a 鈥渟cholar鈥檚 scholar鈥, he also disseminates his work to the lay public in order to accomplish valuable public education.
JMFT is published quarterly by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and is one of the best known and most influential family therapy journals in the world. It is a peer-reviewed journal that advances the professional understanding of marital and family functioning and the most effective psycho-therapeutic treatment of couple and family distress.
